Are we there yet? This is a phrase that people mainly use when they are on a long field trip and can’t wait to get to their destination. But what if instead of ‘are we there yet,’ the phrase was, ‘we’re already here?’ If we enjoy every single minute of the journey then we won’t notice the time, therefore it would be a surprise that they arrived so quickly.

‘Time flies when you're having fun’

Another common phrase is, ‘time flies when you're having fun,’ this is something everyone can relate to. You're hanging out with your friends and you're having the best time ever and it feels like you have only been with each other for 10 minutes, but when you look at the clock you realise it has been a whole hour. Although when you’re in an exam, it can feel like time drags on forever and never ends. When you're on a journey, whether it’s in the car, on the journey of life, or just waiting for something to happen, enjoy it.
It’s all about the journey you embark on to get to the destination, not the actual destination itself. You should find someone or something that makes you happy and then bring it/them on the journey with you to make it more enjoyable. Don’t waste a perfectly good opportunity to make new memories and have fun. Enjoy life and the journey that comes with it, it won’t last forever. Turn ‘are we there yet,’ into ‘we’re already here.’
