Detours are things that everyone experiences. Being directed off the path you’re on either suddenly or slowly sucks. Even though detours might seem like the end of the world, they are necessary. If we never experienced detours, we would never learn or grow from anything, we would stay the same person, life would be simply boring and not worth living at all. Detours make us who we are.

When you hit a detour in life, don’t give up or criticize yourself but see it as an opportunity. An opportunity to experience something new, to change and to learn from it. It can lead to the most interesting things and can make you do things that you never even thought you would or ever had the courage to do. Detours throw you out into the sky so that eventually once you stop falling, you’ll fly. They can help you to realize your potential and can open so many new doors for you to walk into. Sometimes we just need that little push into the unknown to keep us going, but remember, even though the struggles can be hard, never give up because they will make you who you are and who you need to become.
